Episode 185: The Cistern

In this episode of The Whistler, Ronnie becomes consumed by the idea of murdering his partner, Hank, for financial gain. His obsession intensifies after a conversation with the sheriff about the difficulties of finding a body in a murder case. Ronnie eventually decides to lure Hank to a remote location, where he kills him and hides the body in what he believes to be a cistern. However, a twist of fate leads to Hank's body being discovered at the edge of the lake during a storm, revealing that the supposed cistern was actually an underground water flume. The sheriff's patience and wait-and-see approach ultimately expose Ronnie's desperate and failed attempt at covering up the murder.
