Episode 356: The Rawhide Coffin

In this episode of The Whistler, Marilyn Millington is a woman without much money in Honolulu when she encounters a woman named Leona Chadwick, who gives her a purse with $800 and asks her to keep it hidden. Marilyn finds a letter in the purse revealing that Leona is the sole heir to her late uncle's estate. Unbeknownst to Marilyn, Leona is arrested and Marilyn decides to impersonate her to claim the inheritance. She travels to San Francisco using Leona's name, only to find another woman claiming to be Leona at the hotel. Marilyn’s fears of being discovered lead her to take drastic measures, resulting in a shocking turn of events.
